AUI Power’s UAS (unmanned aerial systems) program continues to provide cutting edge inspection services and a variety of data collection methods for our customers, with multiple FAA Licensed (Part 107) Pilots in-house, and a fleet of high-tech aircraft at our disposal.
UAS are used to capture imagery during the pre-bid process, which allows us to more accurately quote for services, and to assist in safety and job planning documentation. The superb quality of the images captured allow AUI crewmembers to remain on the ground while conducting thorough inspections of energized equipment, documenting potential hazards and collecting images and video for our quality control department.
During emergency services, licensed pilots can tactically deploy a drone to review areas where it would be too dangerous to send a crew of workers – and to assess damaged equipment in real-time. UAS allow AUI Power to be more efficient, safe, and prepared when it’s absolutely vital that power is restored in a timely manner.
